This recipe is so simple and tasty, and makes great turkey patties as well. Use whatever fresh herb you have on hand. It pairs nicely with some roasted brussels sprouts and garlicky mashed potatoes!

Turkey Meatballs
3-4 servings (12 meatballs)
Total time: 40 minutes
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 tsp each of dried thyme, dried oregano, and garlic powder
1/4 tsp each of dried turmeric, dried ground ginger
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (or more if you like it spicy)
2-3 tbsp barbeque sauce (optional)
1/4 cup + 2tbsp fresh parsley, cilantro or basil chopped, plus another 2 tbsp for topping
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine all of the above ingredients and mix well (I use my hands). Form into 12 meatballs of roughly the same size. Place the meatballs on the baking sheet.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165F.
Top with fresh chopped parsley/cilantro/basil. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Remove the ground turkey from the fridge 20-30 minutes before making this recipe - it's easier to handle.
Ground turkey tends to be really sticky. You can lightly coat your hands in a bit of olive oil to somewhat prevent this.
This recipe can also be used to make 4 burger patties.
